I've been fascinated by role that television plays in American culture, and the effect it has on sense of self. It's obvious that it holds great significance in our perceptions of oursweelves, and by extension the world around us and our concept of community. Many aspects of our lives are often performed to the accompaniment of televised media: eating, playing, relaxing, praying, sleeping, even sex. How does this affect our behavior and our sense of human identity? How will this medium affect the way various people relate to one another.
